NIOS 10th and 12th Admission:- National Institute of Open Schooling has released a admission notification for Secondary (10th) & Senior Secondary (10+2) examination. Eligible Learners who wants to appear in Public Examination can apply online from 16.03.2025 to 15.09.2025 for Block – I Exam held in March / April, 2026 & 16.09.2025 to 15.03.2025 for Block – II Exam held in September / October 2026. Name of the Course:
- Secondary (10th)
- Senior Secondary (12th)
Age Limit:
- For Block – I
- For Secondary (10th): Born not later than 31.07.2011.
- For Senior Secondary (12th): Born not later than 31.07.2010.
- For Block – II
- For Secondary (10th): Born not later than 31.01.2012.
- For Senior Secondary (12th): Born not later than 31.01.2011.
Qualification:
- For Secondary (10th): Middle (8th) Class Pass / Self Certificate.
- For Senior Secondary (12th): Matriculation (10th) Pass.
Fees:
- For Secondary (10th): Rs. 2340/- for General Male candidates, Rs. 1890/- for General Female candidates and Rs. 1560/- for SC / ST / ExSM / PwD candidates.
- For Senior Secondary (12th): Rs. 2600/- for General Male candidates, Rs. 2150/- for General Female candidates and Rs. 1690/- for SC / ST / ESM / PwD candidates.
- For Additional Subjects: Rs. 940/- for All candidates.
- Extra Rs. 70/- will be paid for every online transaction.
- Fees should be paid through Online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
How to Apply: Eligible Learners who wants to appear in Public Examination can apply online from 16.03.2025 to 15.09.2025 for Block – I Exam held in March / April, 2026 & 16.09.2025 to 15.03.2025 for Block – II Exam held in September / October 2026. The applicants need not to be sent their filled application form to concerned department.

The different birth cutoffs for Block I and Block II are a bit confusing—would’ve been clearer if they just aligned with the exam windows instead of splitting them six months apart. The fee structure makes sense with gender and category differentials, though that extra Rs. 70 per transaction adds up fast. I use a free online construction calculator for building materials when I need quick estimates, but honestly a simple fee calculator right on this page would save applicants from doing math twice. Also, useful calculator (https://buildcalculator.app/) has been useful lately.
