Age Limit (Relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates):
- For Library & Information Officer (18 to 40 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1986 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Assistant Editor (18 to 56 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1970 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Assistant Registrar (18 to 40 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1986 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Section Officer (18 to 35 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1991 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Assistant (18 to 35 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1991 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Professional Assistant (18 to 35 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1991 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Junior Programmer (18 to 35 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1991 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Upper Division Clerk (18 to 32 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1994 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Stenographer (18 to 32 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1994 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
- For Senior Research Assistant (18 to 40 years as on 12.01.2026): Born not earlier than 13.01.1986 and not later than 12.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
Qualification:-
- For Library & Information Officer: Master Degree in Library Science / Library and Information Science + 05 years experience.
- For Assistant Editor: Master Degree in Journalism / Communication / Social Science / Literature + 05 years experience.
- For Section Officer: Bachelor Degree in any stream + 03 years experience
- For Senior Research Assistant: Master Degree in Social Sciences such as Mass Communication, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology + 03 years experience.
- For Assistant: Bachelor Degree in any stream + 03 years experience + Proficiency in Typing + Computer applications + Noting and Drafting.
- For Professional Assistant: Master Degree in Library & Information Science + 02 years experience.
- For Junior Programmer: B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering / Electronics Engineering OR M.C.A. / M.Sc.in Computer Science + 02 years experience.
- For Upper Division Clerk (UDC): Bachelor Degree in any stream + 02 years experience + English Typing 35 w.p.m / Hindi 30 w.p.m + Proficiency in Computer Operations.
- For Stenographer: Bachelor Degree in any discipline + Shorthand Speed (English / Hindi) 80 wpm + English Typing 35 w.p.m / Hindi 30 w.p.m + Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Fees:
- For Library & Information Officer, Assistant Editor and Assistant Registrar: Rs. 1500/- for General / OBC candidates and Rs. 750/- for SC / ST / Female / EWS / PwD candidates.
- For Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Stenographer: Rs. 500/- for General / OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC / ST / Female / EWS / PwD candidates.
- For Other Posts: Rs. 1000/- for General / OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC / ST / Female / EWS / PwD candidates.
- Fees should be paid through Demand Draft (DD) in the favour of Indian Institute of Mass Communication payable at New Delhi
