CPRI MTS, Assistant, Technician & Various Post Recruitment 2026:- Central Power Research Institute, Bangalore has released a recruitment notification for filling up 110 posts of Engineering Officer, Engineering Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Technician, Technical Attendant, Assistant and MTS vide Advt. No. CPRI/06/2026. Eligible / Interested candidates can apply online from 19.09.2026 to 12.10.2026 Upto – 05:00 P.M using given link below. - Engineering Officer Grade – I (Electrical): 07 Posts
- Engineering Officer Grade – I (Civil): 01 Post
- Engineering Assistant (Electrical): 10 Posts
- Engineering Assistant (Mechanical): 01 Post
- Scientific Assistant (Chemistry): 02 Posts
- Technician Grade – I (Electrical): 07 Posts
- Technician Grade – I (Mechanical): 02 Posts
- Technical Attendant Grade – I: 37 Posts
- Assistant Grade – II: 29 Posts
- Multi Tasking Staff (Watch & Ward Duties): 14 Posts
Age Limit: (Relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates)
- For Technician Grade – I (18 to 28 years as on 12.10.2026): Born not earlier than 13.10.1998 and not later than 12.10.2008 (both dates inclusive)
- For Scientific Assistant and Engineering Assistant (18 to 35 years as on 12.10.2026): Born not earlier than 13.10.1991 and not later than 12.10.2008 (both dates inclusive)
- For MTS (18 to 25 years as on 12.10.2026): Born not earlier than 13.10.2001 and not later than 12.10.2008 (both dates inclusive)
- For Other Posts (18 to 30 years as on 12.10.2026): Born not earlier than 13.10.1996 and not later than 12.10.2008 (both dates inclusive)
Qualification:
- For Scientific Assistant: B.Sc in Chemistry + 5 years experience.
- For Engineering Assistant: Diploma in Engineering + 5 years experience
- For Engineering Officer: B.E / B.Tech in relevant trade + Valid GATE Score 2024 / 2025 / 2026.
- For Technician Grade – I: Certificate from ITI in Electrical / Mechanical.
- For Assistant Grade – II: Bachelor Degree in any stream + Basic Computer Course.
- For MTS: Matriculation (10th) passed (Ex-Serviceman Only)
Fees:
- For Technician Grade – I, Assistant Grade – II and Technical Attendant: Rs. 700/- for General / OBC / EWS candidates.
- For Other Posts: Rs. 1000/- for General / OBC / EWS candidates
- There is no fee for SC / ST / PwBD / Female / ExSm candidates.
- Fees should be paid through Online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
Selection Process: The Selection will be based on for the posts of Scientific Assistant, Assistant Librarian, Engineering Assistant, Technician Grade – I, Assistant Grade – II and Various Post in CPRI Recruitment 2026 are given below:
- Written Test
- Practical / Trade Test (Post Wise)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
