UPPSC Professor and Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026:- Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released a recruitment notification for filling up 1156 posts of Professor and Assistant Professor vide Advt. No. D-1/E-1/2026. Eligible / Interested candidates can apply online from 18.08.2026 to 01.09.2026 using given link below. Name of the Posts:
- Professor: 44 Posts
- Assistant Professor: 1112 Posts
Age Limit: [Relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates]:
- For Professor (35 to 55 years as on 01.07.2026): Born not earlier than 02.07.1971 and not later than 01.07.1991. (both dates inclusive)
- For Assistant Professor (26 to 40 years as on 01.07.2026): Born not earlier than 02.07.1986 and not later than 01.07.2000. (both dates inclusive)
Qualification:
- For Professor: Please refer to official detail.
- For Assistant Professor: Master Degree in relevant subject with 55% marks + Ph.D / NET Passed (Read Official Detail)
Fees: Rs. 105/- for General / OBC / EWS candidates, Rs. 65/- for SC / ST / ExSm candidates and Rs. 25/- for PwBD candidates. Fees should be paid through Online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
Selection Process: The Selection will be based on for the posts of Professor and Assistant Professor (Govt. Degree College) in UPPSC Recruitment 2026 are given below:

- Mains Written Exam
- Personal Interview
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
