UPSC IES ISS Recruitment 2026: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a recruitment notification for filling up 44 posts of Indian Economics Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination 2025 vide Advt. Name of the Exam: Indian Economics Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination 2026
Name of the Posts:
- Indian Economics Service (IES): 16 Posts
- Indian Statistical Service (ISS): 28 Posts
Age Limit (21 to 30 years as on 01.08.2026):
- For General / EWS: Born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005. (both dates inclusive)
- For OBC: Born not earlier than 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2005. (both dates inclusive)
- For SC / ST: Born not earlier than 02.08.1991 and not later than 01.08.2005. (both dates inclusive)
Qualification:
- For Indian Economics Service (IES): Master Degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Econometrics.
- For Indian Statistical Service (ISS): Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics.
Fees: Rs. 200/- for General / OBC / EWS candidates. There is no fee for SC / ST / PwD / Female candidates. Fees should be paid through Online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
Selection Process: The Selection will be based on for the posts of Indian Economics Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination 2026 through UPSC 2026 are given below:
- Written Test (1000 Marks)
- Interview (200 Marks)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
