Indian Navy Sports Quota Recruitment 2023:- Indian Navy has released a notification for filling up vacant posts of Sailor (Petty Officer) vide Advt. No. Sports Quota Entry – 02 / 2023. Eligible / Interested candidates can apply in prescribed application format on or before 25.09.2023 upto – 05:00 P.M using given link below. Name of the Entry: Sailors – Sports Quota

Name of the Post: 

  • Direct Entry Petty Officer (Sports Entry)
  • Chief Petty Officer (Sports Entry)

Age Limit [Relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates]: Born not earlier than 01.11.1998 and not later than 30.04.2006. (both dates inclusive)

Name of the Sports: Athletics, Aquatics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Artistic Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Squash, Fencing, Golf, Tennis, Kayaking & Canoeing, Rowing, Shooting & Sailing. In case of Shooting, only those ranked top 50 in senior NRAI rankings in respective events are eligible to apply.

Qualification: Intermediate (10+2) Passed.

Sports Proficiency:

  • For Direct Entry Petty Officer: 
    • Should be a medalist at Junior / Senior level by representing State in National competitions or have represented country at International level
    • Should have represented a State or country in National or International competitions at Junior/ Senior level (team event).
    • Should be medalist in Khelo India Games & Youth Games or above
    • The certificate from respective sports authorities (Federations) found accompany the recommendations of the candidates for final selections.
  • For Direct Entry Chief Perry Officer (Sports Entry):
    • Winner of any medal in World championship/ Asian championship.
    • Winner of any medal in Asian Games.
    • Winner of any medal in CWG/ World Cup.
    • Represented India twice in Asian Games/ Commonwealth Games / World Cup.
    • On representing India in Olympics.

Fees: There is no fees for all applicants.

Selection Process: The Selection will be based on for the posts ofSailor (Petty Officer) in Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 are given below:

  • Medical Examination

Pay Scale: As per Indian Navy Rules.
