Mumbai Income Tax Recruitment 2026:- Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai has released a notification for filling up 97 posts of Tax Assistant, Stenographer and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) under sport quota vide Advt. No. Pr.CCIT/Mum/Personnel/Sports Recruitment/2025-26. Eligible candidates can apply online from 07.01.2026 to 31.01.2026 using given link below. Name of the Posts:

Stenographer Grade – II: 12 Posts
Tax Assistant: 47 Posts
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): 38 Posts

Age Limit: (Relaxation is applicable for reserved candidate)

For Stenographer and Tax Assistant (18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2026): Born not earlier than 02.01.1999 and not later than 01.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)
For MTS (18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2026): Born not earlier than 02.01.2001 and not later than 01.01.2008. (both dates inclusive)

Qualification:

For Tax Assistant: Bachelor Degree in any stream + Sportsman
For MTS: Matriculation (10th) Passed + Sportsman
For Stenographer Grade – II: Intermediate (10+2) Passed + Steno + Sportsman

Fees: There is no application fees for all applicants.
